Clean coal is just a really bad joke

In the last few years we have taken serious steps in protecting our environment while challenging the old business that refuses to modernize.
The most well known of the old business is the coal industry.
Rather then transfer to another energy market, the coal industry has been spreading their propaganda of "clean coal" and how its a safer alternative.
Surprisingly many seem not to get the oxymoron.
Marketing clean coal is like selling light cigarettes; in name is sounds as if its a better substitute but in reality its no different then its regular counterpart.
Smiler to light cigarettes, their is no such thing as clean coal. No matter what chemicals are added, any thing that is burned will result in fums that contain elements that are harmful to people and the environment.
We need to accept the reality, coal is an obsolete source of energy that needs to be replaced with another source that is not harmful to the public or the environment. The facts of "clean coal" are lies the industry tells us just so they could continue their business without having to replace their product.
But we can't just abolish coal; their are communities were the economy is heavily dependent on the coal mine. Instead their needs to be a period of transformation were a new green industry could move in and build a new economy while the coal mine is phased out
